Equality & Diversity NCFE/CACHE Level 2 Certificate

This online course aims to promote equality and diversity in order to make students more socially aware. It is an effective and insightful way to strengthen employees' knowledge on best practice. This distance learning course will enable you to gain additional skills and a qualification without disrupting your day-to-day life. You will have access to specialist support from dedicated tutors throughout the programme.

Course content

This course is designed to develop your awareness of issues surrounding equality and diversity, what equality is, what diversity means, the effects of stereotyping and labelling, the effects of prejudice and discrimination and the ways in which people might choose to describe themselves. You will also look at the extent of diversity within society, the value to communities in creating and maintaining a diverse environment, the potential inequality that can occur within a community, the support services and groups that exist within a community to ensure equality and diversity is maintained.

The units you will study are:

  1. Equality and diversity in society
  2. Equality and diversity in the community
  3. Equality and diversity in the workplace

Assessment methods

Learners can choose to work either with online assessments or via printed workbooks.

Further study and career options

Course progression: 
Once it has been confirmed that you have fully completed the course, there are several next steps that you can take. You can go on to study another level two distance learning course. Or you could move on to one of our Level 3 Distance Learning courses. Alternatively, you could enrol on to our Access to Higher Education course (subject to interview) or the Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification (subject to entry requirements). 
Career progression: 
By completing any of the above courses, you will gain the skills and knowledge that employers find desirable. It is also a great opportunity for continuous professional development.

Additional information

Please note that an administration charge of £100 will be charged if learners do not complete the course within the allocated 16 weeks.
