Interior Design BTEC HND
The programme is a follow on from the one year HNC in 3D Design and will enable you to develop skills in the use of CAD in the creative industry. The course enables the exploration of design ideas and the visualisation of concepts through photo-realistic drawings for 3D environments in commercial, retail and residential sectors. Our studios in the purpose built South Bank Arts Centre are run by practitioners who give our students the opportunity to engage in contemporary debate about political, social and economic factors which influence interior design. The course will help you develop an understanding of the fundamental properties of common materials and their structure. You will develop the skills needed to use Trend Forecasting for interiors such as lighting, furniture and colours. The course is supported through workshops delivered by guest designers from industry. Our students have gained employment with local and London-based design agencies, for example jewellery designers and lighting designers. Once you have completed the HND in Interior Design you can progress to a BA (Hons) degree at a university of your choice.
